Fantastic haul and well done for finding a good use for it. So far this month I have spent not a farthing as I am using up left overs as much as possible Came home last night with some left over veg and sliced lamb which will be my dinner tonight from DD's I have worked out that my first shop of 2018 will be next Monday when I should need some fresh fruit and veg and a few basic odds and ends like cheese ,eggs etc I am really pleased to be able to use as much up as I can before buying any more

Thanks Jackie. But if I am honest, I spend a small fortune on food. Trouble is that a) I love cooking, b) I love eating even more, c) I am disorganised and d) I have very bad migraines so periodically try some faddy diet in the hopes of improvement which costs even more. Picking up that Deliciously Ella book one day in the library was a disaster, for example. Next minute the cupboards were full of raw cacao and other stuff that never got used because I tried it once and didn't like it! I live near Morrison's and shop every day which is silly.
Resolved to be more organised this year. Downloaded a meal plan yesterday off the internet. Adapted it for our tastes and adjusted the shopping list it came with accordingly. It's supposedly a pound a day for two people do £14 for a week but it comes to more like £36 on the my supermarket app! It's a start though. But when u read posts like yours I wonder how on earth you all do it?!!!!
Have just given up work as my hubby is retired so want to be more careful!0 -
Have you tried keeping a food diary? That's the only way to identify if it's a particular substance that triggers migraines. Fad diets are best avoided. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

Yes, I did for a while but then I saw a specialist who said it is never just one trigger. It's a build up of several, food and non-food.
My partner is a doctor and he reckons my main cause is worrying about whether I'll get a migraine!!!
I gave up sugar - including most fruit sugar - for a year and that was definitely better.0
