I just went to use my Boots GIFT CARD I got for Christmas on the Boots web site


Boots does not accept BOOTS GIFT CARD on line .


I thought you could use Gift cards on line from all stores who issue gift card




Will not be wanting a for a Boots card next Christmas

Are you sure it's not just a temporary problem, they seem to have an issue with their gift cards online at the moment:

The Gift Voucher site is temporarily unavailable but you can still purchase Boots Gift Cards at your local Boots store.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and please be assured that we’re working to get the Gift Voucher service back online as soon as possible.

Boots don't currently accept payment by gift card online. Best thing for you to do is go to your local store; anything that's available online can be ordered at the till and paid for with a gift card. The extra bonus then is that you can also use any coupons you have for double points etc. as well. HTH

From their FAQ:

'Can I use gift cards online?'

Unfortunately we are unable to allow the use of Boots gift cards or vouchers online at present.

If you wish to order an item that is only available online and pay using a gift card you will be able to do this as an in store order. You can place an in store order at any Boots store in the UK, all you need to do is take the product code or product description to a member of staff at the till and they can search for the product and place the order for you.

To check the balance on your gift card you need to take the card into your local Boots store. They will scan the card and give you the current balance.
