Wtc - uc?

Just been reading up on childcare help and I have noticed with WTC you can claim up to 70% of childcare costs depending on income but with UC we can claim 85% - Surely we would be better off with switching would we not?
Our childcare for 4 children works out at £14k per year and I go back to work after maternity in January so just researching options.
How do we actually transfer over to this new system? We are in Yorkshire.
Thanks or advice in advance

You won't be able to claim UC because you have 3 or more children - so you will have to stay in tax credits. childcare is more generous in UC but some things are not so it really depends on your full circumstances.

Hi IQ, Thanks for that - I thought UC was rolling out to everyone eventually?
That is a shame they offer better help for childcare especially when a lot of unworking parents receive free childcare for 15 hours but hey ho!0 -
A lot of working parents can't afford 4 children but hey ho.0

Eventually it will be available to you, but not at present. Those with 3 of more children are diverted to tax credits until January 2019.
