Apcoa Fine I’ve looked st my proof of ticket

Please can anyone help me I paid for a ticket by cash at Victoria station Manchester on 25.11.17 and today I’ve received a fine saying no ticket was purchased, that letter is dated 22.12.17. I didn’t keep the ticket I had no idea I may need it as proof almost 1 month later. I parked for 6 hours as I think it’s good value and I’ve parked there before and specifically recall saying to my son let’s pay for 6 hours then there’s no need to rush back I even know which machine I used. Could I request CCTV which would show us going to machine and paying?
If not where do I start - I’m worried if I don’t request CCTV now it may not be available in the future.
Thanks in advance for any advice received.

You don’t need CCTV to beat APCOA, provided you follow the advice - to the letter - contained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky. APCOA are one of the easiest operators to beat anywhere in England and Wales. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES, especially the part about why it is safe to ignore debt collectors, (but not court papers) then start your own thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

I suspect that Railway Byelaws apply here.
Where railway byelaws apply, generally only the train operating company or landowner (often Network Rail) can take the vehicle OWNER ( not the keeper or driver) to magistrates court, only for trespass, and only before six months from the date of the alleged event.
Crapcoa cannot do this, but will have you believe otherwise.
You need to play ping pong with them and keep asking for information such as, what byelaws apply. Every time they reply, ask another question until it times out or you get a PoPLA code.
Then use the info in the NEWBIES to kill it off.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
No fruitcake - it wouldn’t be for trespass but mag court for breach of byelaws. They also can only take the driver to court as the elements allowing owner liability are ultra vires.0
