Hi all and thanks for your replies.
The police have been called regarding their car and we even saw a policeman come and check it out but that was weeks ago and the car is still sitting here.
I have reported the car to both the DVLA (anonmymously) and our local council, but likewise, nothing has been done. Obviously they have more important people to chase like pensioners who haven't paid their council tax :rolleyes2
I did phone the council noise control on one occasion and they were totally useless and said that they would 'monitor the situation' but the woman I spoke to couldn't get the name of the road right after I had told her 3 times and nobody ever turned up so I guess it wasn't a priority for them.
Lots of the other neighbours that I have spoken to have also raised their concerns about these students but are afraid to do anything as they don't want repurcussions.
Although I am very frustrated by what is going on, I am very concerned for my elderly neighbour who is 85 and is so so upset and afraid of what is happening and even though she is half deaf can hear their music at night.
I will do the land registry search, at least then we will have the LL details. I will also contact environmental health and tell them about the carpets outside.
Lets hope something will get done and soon.0 -
Are they international students?0

If you all put in complaints around the same time there are no repurcussions as they, the noisy people, will not be able to know who you are as they will be told there have been several or a number of complaints about you.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I think they are English but of foreign extraction but the certainly talk to each other in Urdu or one of the Indian subcontinent dialects a lot of the time.ahsanjalil wrote: »Are they international students?0 -
Unfortunately it's not going to happen. Most of the other neighbours couldn't give a t*ss about them and the ones that are concerned are unwilling to do anything as they have kids and are very paranoid about the students knowing they were involved in any way (I already suggested to them that we all write and complain). If you all put in complaints around the same time there are no repurcussions as they, the noisy people, will not be able to know who you are as they will be told there have been several or a number of complaints about you.0 -
hmmm, I doubt that they are English, as I have seen some very similar situation as you are in and it was because of students from same origin as you mentioned above who were here just to study so they are not really bothered to clean there house or respect neighbors.
But that time police formula really worked. In case they are international students they have some restriction by home office, and all problem they are creating for neighbors comes under that, so they are highly vulnerable to stay even in UK if they don't follow these rules.
At the end whether English or not I still say you complain to police but please forget the car for the time being,, tell the police that they are making your life misery. simple as that. last time policeman came, checked the car and left because you complained about car I presume, we need some policemen knocking the door and warning them in person.
Thats what exactly happened when I complained about some few years ago. They left after few weeks!!0
