Seat Ibiza 2008,
thanks0 -
2 hours labour, I just purchased discs and pads(Import Car Parts) for the front of my Subaru Forester and they cost £66 delivered, a mate changed them (ex mechanic) and it took him an hour.
Look at GSF car parts for parts prices but expect the garage to add a margin to the parts which is entirely reasonable.
Avoid the big chains like KwikFit and Halfords0 -
it takes us around 1.5hrs to do break + disks all round providing nothing is seized or snaps, labour wise your looking at £35hr ish, if it was brake shoes on the back it would take a little longer as you have to faff about with springs and then the adjustment (hate doing break shoes) but remember if you provide the disks and pads make sure they the correct ones if not you will have to go back and exchange them, which could result the car being on the lift longer that 1.5hr so the garage may charge you for that extra time as its not thier fault you supplied the wrong parts but it all depends on the customer (regular or trader they will look after you) and if they are busy that day
Forgot to add labour rates vary depending on which part of the country you are in“People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

Are you sure it's rear disks? Most Ibizas will be drums, only higher-performance ones will be disks.
As with anything, it shouldn't take too long - two hours tops - if everything goes smoothly, but could quickly escalate if there are problems.
For the parts, a quick look suggests £20-25 front pads, £15-20 rear pads, £20-25 (x2) front disks, £15-20 (x2) rear disks. That's going with decent brand parts, rather than ultimate cheapies. Let them supply, then any problems are their responsibility.
If the fluid's not been changed recently, get that done at the same time.0 -
£35 an hour. Where on earth are you that it's that cheap?0

The 2008 and 2009 1.6 Ibiza were fitted with rear discs, the 1.4 Ibiza had drums. Whilst not the cheapest option so not really MSE but seat do fixed price servicing including brake overhaul.0
