tiny cracks in newly plastered wall

Options
we had the lounge plastered last month and as I was checking it ready to paint its first mist coat, I noticed several really thin cracks in the new plaster, I've used the same guy for years (he's worked on 3 of our houses over the years) but this is the first time I've noticed any cracks in new plaster

Is it normal? And is there anything I can do before painting them?

Yes, ours are the same in similar circumstances. Very hard to avoid first time round. We are going to get the painter back in a year or two, you can only see it if you are looking really carefully.
  • Just prepare the wall for painting as you would normally do, filling and sanding any slight imperfections and thin cracks. Repeat after the mist coat if necessary.
