Totally loved the "A" for advents ...

what about we expand the idea for daily, weekly and monthly competitions?
Just a thought as sorting the board to find the advents was so much easier with the "A". That way we could find regular competitions on the main board. We could even have "O" for ongoing.

I voted for 'I don't give a damn' but really it should be 'I didn't notice'.
I may be alone in this, but I think I must have trained my eyes not to bother reading anything on the subject line until I get to 'win ...'
If the comp is on the main board then 99 times out of 100 it'll be in date ... and I don't really need to know when a comp ends ...0 -

Fair point. It is mostly for those of us who sort the board and end up having to end date comp at times.

It's not a bad idea, but it's hard enough getting all the comps to be posted with "E: DD/MM". If there were multiple options, this problem would be worse.
Remember also that there is no such thing as a "monthly" as far as we are concerned and there is a movement towards there being no "weekly" comps either.0 -

Most comps are posted correctly. Not suggesting loads of options just say "D" for daily and "W" for weekly. Maybe "O" for ongoing.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

I loved the A for Advents as well, I sort by end date most of the time so it made doing them so much easier with them all being together at the end :-) Not sure it would work for daily/weekly/monthly though2012 - must pay off last CC and maybe overdraft then debt free woop!!

I'd like to propose Z: for the magazine daily comps. I don't enter them myself, but it'll make it so much easier if you do. Not to be confused with M: for monthly.
While we're on the subject can I also propose 14FEB instead of 14/02 . 14FEB will accurately filter out the exact date and nothing else whereas 14/02 gets split into 2 sort strings of 14 and 02 so is less efficient.0
