Hi there
We are moving home next month and will obviously need to let people know. I thought I read somewhere that if you moved address your child's DLA claim would be reassessed all over again?!?! Is this true? As it's only a change of address... anyone know??

I did a while ago...not anymore.
Just dla for my children, carers allowance and tax credits0 -
I moved a few months ago, DLA claims just had to have the date amended, it wasn't reassessed. Think someone has been telling you panic stories lol. With carers allowance you can amend the address online.
There is a 'rule' that if you 'hang low' and are an adult on DLA (i.e. make a change etc) you could be 'found' and told to apply for PIP instead of DLA. But this doesn't apply to children.0 -

No such rule exists. A reported change in condition will prompt an invitation to apply for PIP, as should your claim being up for renewal. A change in address will not.
The notion of hanging low and then being found is nonsense.0 -
Thanks all! Yes few panic stories about. It's for a child.0
