Save the Change Scheme

I changed to TSB this month myself. Not for the Save the Change scheme, but for the 3% interest and switching cashback offered on the classic plus account. I like the idea of Save The Change, but I would prefer to do it myself via the Virtual Money Pot challenge (or whatever it's called - soz, may be paraphrasing there) on here, or through Moneybox, and then put the little bit extra I'd saved into an alternative savings account, as the dismal interest on the esavings account compared to the classic plus account makes me not want to use it. But then I have the maximum 1500 in the account to get 3% interest on so any more money I keep in there will earn me less interest anyway, so it makes sense to save it out to elsewhere. Definitely not their esaver though haha. I agree with PPs that it doesn't seem a very smart way of saving...0
