DPD signed for, not recived

I ordered something from ebay (a business seller), and I've tracked the item which says it was delivered on the 22nd and signed for by "Mail Box", which makes no sense to me. My husband was home and no one rang up to the flat, and there's no safe place to leave it. Any idea what I can do, or what my rights are in this situation?

Thanks

Open a claim stating you haven't received the item.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
  • Unfortunately the bots at Ebay will rule an INR claim in favour of the seller if the tracking shows any form of the word "delivered".

Therefore, I would suggest in the first instance you get in touch with the seller using a message and not one that involves opening a request/case. Just click on their username and when you see the option to add the item you are enquiring about, click the "not about an item" or similar wording.

Ask them to help you. You need to get the seller onside otherwise your plight won't be an easy one.

Ask them to make enquiries with DPD as to where the item was left. If the seller has an ounce of business mind, they will help you and follow this through until the item is located or you are refunded.

This is a consumer rights board and other advice may be based on this, I am giving you advise from an eBay buyer perspective. Get the seller onside and try to sort it out from there.
