ISA options before purchasing first home?

I'm really looking for some advice on current situation and savings options...
Looking to buy our first home when our current tenancy comes to an end in early September - we currently have around £15K each saved in absolutely crap accounts that haven't been updated for years, so no doubt getting piddly amounts of interest.
My money is split between two old ISAs, and I currently have a Moneybox stocks & shares ISAs where I have around £1,000 saved.
Combined, we plan to have around £40K deposit by August/September.
My question is, what's our best option in terms getting the best return in the short amount of time we have before we look to purchase? Is it worth opening a lifetime or help to buy ISA?
Any advice gratefully received at this point

Help to buy isa, keep it in cash / not equities. Not sure how long you need to keep it in for.0
