Court Claim Letter - Help

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me.
I have received a county court claim form.
This goes back to April, when my husband parked on our road which is in a private estate and we don't have a parking permit (we live in a new building which is 'car free')
We got a ticket on the windshield and then letters followed, including from debt collectors and solicitors after that - Gl4dston3s.
My husband told me we should ignore all this letters and not pay the fine as they would most likely not go into court.
Now we got the letter from the county court I'm a little worried to say the least.
I've been reading a lot here and it gives me confidence but I find it a little overwelming at times, sometimes I think I won't have the time to prepare all this long defences. (I'm a new parent so have my hands full at the moment)
Now, one reason I actually didn't pay the fine was that I wasn't in the country on the day the fine was issued so I thought I could always argue that I wasn't the driver and didn't see the fine on the windshield.
Do you guys think this is a good enough reason to win this?
The claim is for £160 plus costs totalling £241.60.
I have filled the AOS online at moneyclaim and ticked the box where it states I'm against the whole claim.
Please help and let me know if I have a good chance of winning as I was not in the country and can prove I wasn't the driver.
Thank you so much for your help.

Please provide more information... Which parking company issued the ticket?
Were there any signs at the location? What did they say?
What do you mean by your building is "car free"
Have you read the NEWBIES thread at the top of page one... Post #2 'small claims'?0 -
Gl4dston3s ???
You do mean of course the incompetent Gladstones ?

Post 2 newbies thread.
Not being the driver is NOT RELEVANT but ONLY if the Parking company complied with pofa schedule 4, para 8 if there was a notice on the vehicle, 9 if not. If they did not comply, they’ll state they are assuming you are the driver. If you can prove otherwise you’re pretty good. They’ll also try to claim even if you were not the driver, you “authorised” the driver to enter Parking contracts. This is of course rubbish but you will need to read up on this (cps vs ajh films)0 -

You won't be paying that - this sounds winnable and we do see 99% of cases won when well defended. Have you done the AOS online, as shown in the NEWBIES thread?
So your estate is 'car free' (terrible idea, why move in there, I'd have given it a swerve, literally!
unworkable drivel 'green' idea by some idiot). So, how does that work when you need to unload furniture or even shopping bags, or travel bags, or get stuff delivered?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
