Can't send E Mails from my Hotmail account on my PC

i cannot send any E Mails from my Hotmail account on my PC but I can receive them. However i can send E Mails from the same Hotmail account on my I Pad .When I click on New on my Hotmail account on my PC and nothing happens. What do i need to do to correct and get it working again.:mad:

What software are you using to access your Hotmail account on your PC?

Are you using outlook.live.com ? I have the same issue this morning with one of my Hotmail accounts. For me, it can be overcome by enabling the beta version using toggle in top right hand corner.

Last time it happened, logging out/in fixed it but that didn't work today.

I am on Windows 10. it is an Acer PC. the E mails worked fine until yesterday afternoon. i have tried logging in and logging out. Shutting down PC and starting up again. I have two Microsoft accounts one live and the Hotmail and neither is working for new E Mails.As I said previously it works fine on My I Pad which I find rather strange.

Again, what software are you using to access your hot mail accounts? If we don't know how you view you emails how is anyone supposed to troubleshoot your problem? Different software will mean different possible fixes.

To Gee Whiz - what do you do to get your emails on the PC? Do you click on the big blue E, the orange fox, the big red O or the red/yellow/green icon and then log into a website? Or do you use something like Outlook 2013/2016, Thunderbird or something else?
