AA/RAC Breakdown cover

Hi Folks,

Im looking into getting breakdown cover and just wondering who are the best people to go with? I had an email this morning from the RAC offering me joint cover for the same price as single cover. Also is the basic cover enough? I dont do that much travelling, but now and agin i go on long journeys. Plus ive got an 05 reg car.

hi Winnie,
You should already have breakdown cover since you have a 05 reg car, most car manufactures give AA/RAC cover don't know what level of cover there provide. I brought a 51 reg car it came with 3 years AA cover.

i would recommend having breakdown cover, i have used it a few times since i been driving over the last 8 years. would think that even if you only call them once in a year, or even once in tow years, you would benefit. It also gives peace of mind. I've been with the aa for 8 years now, and would recommend them, but i have never really shopped around, so can't say if it is the cheapest. When i've used them they have normally been there with 15 -20 mins, and only ever more when i have called in really bad weather at rush hour on a holiday weekend!!!
