2 payday loans in my name
emcccc
I’ve just checked my online banking and just before Xmas I’ve had two separate payday loans enter my bank (to the value of £600) then leave in a lump sum to a bank account that I don’t know of shortly after it went in. I’ve now also got a western union charge of £44 from Xmas Eve.
I am really getting panicked over it all now and don’t know what to do. I’m currently on ESA and can not afford to pay £600 or anywhere near it in fact and my parents have paid a lot of debt off for me in the past.

Just for clarity, did you take out the loans?
Are you responsible for the Western Union charge?0 -
I’ve not taken either of the loans out or made a western union charge (not actually sure on how to use western union as I’m a paypal user)0

Report it to your bank and let them deal with it then.0

You'll need to contact ActionFraud and the companies concerned to report these accounts as fraudulent.
Also contact your bank, as you can't be held responsible for fraudulent payments if you've taken due care with your card and details.
Check all three credit reports for free to ensure there is nothing else fraudulent on there: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/check-free-credit-report#free
Filing Protective Registration with CIFAS is recommended to prevent any further fraud (it means lenders will carry out additional checks before any other accounts can be set up in your name) but it costs £20.0 -
While money coming into your account is difficult to prevent, that money leaving your account is more sinister, and implies that someone has access to at least one of your internet banking, telephone banking, debit card or cheque book. Looking close to home in the first instance may be a good start.0

Checked my credit report (it renewed today) and it has 1 hard search on it in the last month) from one of the lenders) but no added debt on it (I have a mobile phone contract on my long term debt and that’s it). I have a feeling I left my card at someone’s house for about an hour while I was out running an errand so I will need to contact the bank.0
