Parking Charge Notice Help Please

01142007
Hi I have read the sticky posts but unable to find an answer to my question.
A couple of days ago the driver of my car was issued a windscreen parking notice, apparently for leaving site (out of town shopping complex) the driver was parked legally in the space and did not overstay the time allowance. The driver did purchase some products about an hour after the ticket was issued for around £10. The driver was not aware of the ticket until returning to the car.
Upon looking at the ticket the registration number is incorrect by one letter, although my car is shown when logging on to their site, under the wrong registration number.
The driver has read that the notice is the legal bit and not the photos and due to the error in the registration the parking notice can not be enforced, An appealed has been made by uploading my receipt of purchase and pointed out the incorrect registration. The company is UKPC, can anyone add any advice please and have I done the right thing so far.
Many thanks and merry Christmas

Post one, paragraph one of the newbies sticky covers your situation exactly and the rest of the thread plus the numerous recent mistyped digit threads tell you what to do.
Please read again and provide some basic detail like the PPC and appeal body concerned plus the stores involved so we can offer better advice.0 -
Hi, welcome and Merry Christmas.
One of the first things you need to do is edit your post to remove any clues to the identity of the driver.
There really is no place for the word 'I' when describing thing that happened on the day of the event.
For example, your second paragraph should start something like:A couple of days ago the driver of my car was issued a windscreen parking notice...
Please review and adjust the rest of your post similarly.
When you appealed, did you tell the parking company that you were the driver, or even imply it?0 -
I tried to edit but it has posted a new topic so I will try and delete this one, many thanks0

Just to add to this as requested, this is an out of town shopping area which has a few shops, homebase, b&m amongst others. I am not sure who owns the land at the moment0

Many thanks, unfortunately i did not screen shot the wording so can not be 100% but i don't think so0
