when Is the spring break for US and Canadian students

We were considering taking a holiday to the Caribbean in late February or early/mid March.. However we want avoid the US and Canadian students Spring Break when some hotels can get very rowdy with the students partying, Does anyone have information of the dates of their spring break. We are a mature couple and would prefer to go when the clientele are quieter.

It's different for each college, but generally covers all of March and a the first couple days of April.
  • "Spring Break for most US and Canadian Colleges Universities occurs this year from February 18th to April 15th. The two peak weeks will be the weeks of March 10th to March 18th and Mar 17th to Mar 25th."

  • Many hotels have a policy of not taking spring breakers, so it is best to do your research on individual establishments. We went to Mexico one March and didn’t have any trouble with spring breakers because of their policy.
  • it is not easy to identify whether a Hotel accepts American and Canadian student parties during the spring break when booking a package holiday with TUI, Thomas Cook, Virgin. British Airways etc.. if you do go to a hotel that accept parties then it can be a disaster if you are in the more mature age group.

This is the sort of information that Tripadvisor is useful for. A search of their forums will often bring up threads on spring breakers in relevant destinations.
