Boots Sale

Boots do seem to revamp a LOT! I was not happy with the No7 bathing revamp as it smells horrid now. Probably why there was no bathing in the Star Gift this year!
There's actually more stock in my local than the usual years. I think certain brands have misjudged the demand. Like S&G is overflowing in the aisles!0 -

In 2016 the store I worked at had thousands of Jack Wills soaps on a rope delivered, we were only selling a few every week. We were sure there had been a delivery error and tried everything to send them back to the warehouse in Burton so that they could be re-delivered to other stores. Burton refused to take them back.
The £12 soaps eventually ended up in the 90% off sale, but nobody wanted them and they were given away to the Salvation Army
The delivery system is so chaotic stores can show stock figures in the hundreds on the computer and not have any on the shelves.
Often the pickers at Burton get outers mixed up with singles, so a shop that should get 60 singles (10 outers of 6) gets 60 outers (360 singles) and this gets logged out as 60 singles.
One year 160 bottles of fine fragrance went missing in transit, the head of Loss Prevention had to find out where it had gone. It was never found.
The Christmas stock allocation is very hit and miss sometimes. Primarily due to poor stock control at Burton through the use of untrained casual agency staff.0 -

That is true, my small local has loads of S&G. Do you think there will be a 75% off sale anytime soon?0 -
Does anyone know when this starts? That is true, my small local has loads of S&G. Do you think there will be a 75% off sale anytime soon?

Stratford Upon Avon maybird store has loads left yesterday. 60% of what they had before xmas. S&G takes up 25% if that, there’s a whole aisle of that left. Another poster daidnits becoming the equivalent of Baylis and Harding, I think that’s quite true, it’s no longer seen as a luxury:money::rotfl::T0

I do quite like B&H though (the bath stuff, not the cigarettes)

I think it’s the 70% off sale that’s causing the high stock levels at stores still. I remember when I first went years ago although very well known on here not so much everywhere else. Now everybody seems to know that at some point in January boots will flog the xmas stock at 70% so why buy it at 50% when you can wait a few weeks. The sale really has become a victim of its own success.:money::rotfl::T0 -
I asked in Boots yesterday about the 70% sale and was told that they didn't know yet if there would be one this this year, they hadn't been told. But if there was going to be one then it would be wihtin the next couple of weeks."Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0
