Be very careful with Pharmacy2u, I had to send in some original letters to them and they lost them all, they denied they had them then said they had but couldn't find them. A some other people I know have had some sort of trouble with them as well.

VULPIX I think that’s the big dilemma when you’re selling, do you look first and risk disappointment because you don’t sell in time or sell first and risk having nowhere to go and losing your buyers. We went for the second option and it worked out well for us. The problem with the first option is that you’re not really seen as a serious buyer if you’ve got a property to sell and it isn’t under offer. If I was you I’d just go for it and put mine on the market - but then I love the excitement of moving so I might not be the best to give advice lol.

FREE that’s great news that the piercing is working after all, long may it continue. I was reading your post about visiting the hospital and the doctor and the blood thing and I know it’s still really stressful for you but I was really struck by how far you’ve come. I was thinking back to the woman who had to suffer rather than be able to make an appointment with the GP - you should be really proud of yourself.

Wow STOKIE you must have loads of friends - or do you make to sell? I’ve just bought a die cut machine so will be making the Christmas cards this year although possibly only the close family ones. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t deal with 160 :D

CHRISSEY great news that the tablets are helping DD. Can’t help with the Pharmacy2U question but I’d definitely shop around for a different pharmacy if your current one isn’t reliable.

MRSINVIS you’ve had an exciting time. The plumbing experience sounds awful, hope you get a permanent solution sorted soon. Hope you enjoyed the open air R&J, you certainly picked a good week for it with this fabulous weather (apologies to those who don’t like it so warm). Bet you can’t wait to get the conservatory done.

JJ welcome back, lovely to see you and even better to know things are going so well for you. Have a fabulous time in the US.

Well the artificial grass has been laid (it’s fabulous) and the shower cubicle installed (also fabulous) and I’ve sold some bits on Facebook (not actually fabulous but pretty good). DH is still poorly but at least better than he was so we’re doing ok. I’ve made a decision about Christmas which is that the non local part of the family are all getting money this year, not huge amounts of money though as there are a lot of them. I don’t like giving money but I think it’s what they’d prefer anyway and it’s really difficult buying for them when you don’t see them very often. I’ll make it more personal by making the cards/wallets to put the money in - I've already spent ages on Pinterest looking for inspiration - then I can focus my pressie buying on family who actually like getting pressies and who we see at Christmas. My first Christmas decision made :T I have no idea what we’ll be doing about Christmas dinner this year though. None of us have enough room to accommodate all of us to eat but the place that does Christmas dinner in the village wasn’t as good last year. I thought maybe we could eat in smaller groups and then get together for the afternoon and evening but having everyone together for dinner is part of the fun. Oh well, that one needs a bit more thought.

Hope everyone is ok and those who aren’t posting at the moment are just busy having fun and not poorly.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    Nice to see you Peppa.

We are on plan Z now with house move.In the end we have decided that as DD2 has a college place for the next 2 years we will stay put. In that time a business opportunity may present itself over in Lincolnshire,so we would possibly move there but perhaps keep something here in case we (I) don't settle there and want to come back.It is such an expensive area here that we would be sensible to stay on the property ladder. The business would be mega exciting for Mr V but it needs a licence which is a 3 year process. An application has been in for a year already.Even so it is not guaranteed it will be granted.

Anyway i just love everything about house moving.I can live vicariously as DD1 is house hunting in Sheffield. She also has a new exciting boyfriend.Too early to house hunt together though.

We have done the hipster car boot today and I am 70 odd quid better off and the owner of a lovely Ted Baker green leather handbag.

We had some "garden" friends round last night for a get together so am feeling a bit worse for wear after that and a 6am start today.

So nice to see you back JJ and to hear that your health is so much better. You go girl!

Stokie, that is a Christmas card marathon! I send about 10 to old aunts and it gets less every year.I would love to see a pic of your makes when you do the cards.I threaten to post pics of all sorts but am a technophobe and never do it.

How many of you will there be for Christmas dinner Peppa?BTW I have a spare table.Mr V went to watch the football last night and came home with a table!!!!!! He was talking to some bloke in the pub who was giving it away and thought I would like it! I suppose I will be able to find a home for it...eventually.

Peppa you are so right about Free.Yes you have come a long way Free. another, you go girl.

Think I'm a bit hysterical so will have a sleep.

    Vx

Definitely wont be sending 160 :rotfl: trying to make up enough so I can have a stock and also because other half in his infinite wisdom asked his work if i could have a table for my cards at their christmas fayre . Will have to see how I get on. Have bought some adhesive sheets for my die cuts to make it easier (hopefully) as some of my dies are quite detailed and its really fiddly trying to glue them down. I want to do some Christmas ones today but i have a couple of birthday cards to do that really need to take priority.

Hope everyone is coping with the warm weather.

    Hi all

    Long time, no speak :)

I've been so busy with everything, I've been lurking for months but not had many opportunities to pop in & say hello. Plus the fact I've not really had much to report.

We've recently come back from our family holiday, so nothing major to look forward to now, so I feel like I need to get started on my Christmas organising now so that I've got something exciting to focus on.

I'm going to get my list together today of who I am buying for this year & start coming up with some ideas.

We are doing some decorating again in the house, our bedroom this time, so I'll also have that to focus on but I'm hoping that will be completed in the next 2 months as we have already ordered our new bed!

I hope everyone is well. I am going to have a big long read through tonight to see what everyone has been getting up to & to hopefully pick up some ideas along the way.

In the meantime, I hope you're all having a good day.

  • Hello all

Although i have been avidly following the forums, well avidly may not be entirely accurate, I finally finished last year’s forum in May :rotfl:I was surprised to learn from MSE that i haven't posted since October 2015!

A few things have changed since then, I now have an 11 month old, so am really looking forward to Christmas this year (even more than usual!) Once we have had his birthday next month it will be full steam ahead with the Christmas planning.

Nothing else to report, just wanted to dip my toe back in the MSE waters in the hope itll prompt me to keep more uptodate this year!

Stokie your cards are beautiful, you’re very talented.

Hey!! See I said I will do my best to get on here more!!

Also it has kick started my thoughts for Christmas and preparation! Which is exciting.

Thanks for all the welcome backs and positive comments about my health!

I am trying to get some plans done for the house I am in- so I live with my mum , I moved back here in January after working away for 2 years! Not long after I moved back my brother and his pregnant fianc! moved in! Sorry if I have said this , worse memory ever lol.

This week I sorted some people coming to clear the rubbish from the garden so that just needs some loving touches now! Would like some wall planters but don't know where to start lol! I keep seeing the giant gnomes in Asda and want one for the garden however £20+ feels slightly excessive to me , maybe I am being tight!

Not much to report this week - pretty much just work work work , hopefully meeting up with a friend on Wednesday and I MUST go for my eye test. Couple years over due (ooops) -and my glasses are practically ruined because I wear there continuously unless I am in the shower or sleeping.. saying that the other day I thought I was going blind because I managed to get in a hot shower still wearing them and of course they steamed right up lol!

Anyway sending love and hugs and xmas vibes to all!

JJ all the stores sell off gardening stuff reduced in the Autumn so hang on till then.I also get a lot of stuff from carboots, local fb selling sites, marketplace and ebay.Wall planters will need watering,an easier option is a piece of trellis on the wall or just a post and some chicken wire in the ground and plant clematis in the ground. They will just need watering until they are established. How exciting to have a baby in the house to spoil at Christmas.

Stokie those cards are amazing. How clever are you! not just for making them but for posting pics too!

DOJ congratulations on your little one.S/he will really enjoy the festivities.Do post more, the thread is a little quiet atm.Although we are people who love Christmas we like to hear what's going on any time of year.

I have started back at Yoga after a 10 year gap.I love it.Can't do it very well but I love it.I am amazed at how much I can do with my fused spine.Upper spine worked on last night and I can feel it today.

A days gardening planned for me today.

Oh I picked up a new in box Beatles photo frame at the carboot. Will put a photo of DD2 in it for either her Birthday in September or Christmas.I find her very difficult to buy for.She doesn't do girly stuff. DD1 on the other hand I know if I like it she will like it,whatever it is.

I also bought Mr V's Chewbacca buildabear a Darth Vader outfit from the carboot.(yes he is 60).

    Take care Vx
