Hi all time just keeps flying by. Can't believe we are into June now. Done nothing christmassy (other than putting the money aside ready) but am well ahead of birthday buying :rotfl: - including my own treat to myself. As this is the first year I won't get birthday money off my nan I have taken a little bit of what she left us to buy myself an early birthday present from her as would always use the money she gave on birthdays to buy something I had my eye on but couldn't justify buying out of my normal spends.
Will start now keeping an eye on things for Christmas - hoping there are a few markets/craft fairs locally soon as think it was end of June last year when I picked up my first gift for last Christmas.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

Still nothing christmassy going on, but my benefits man came to see me and has taken all my forms (including my ESA! ) and is going through them all with a fine tooth comb. We were waiting for a supporting letter from my OT (which arrived yesterday) so he will come back and fill the form in hopefully next weekI feel soooooo much calmer right now.
now its back to cajolling kid number 2 into the shower and kid number 1 out the door, I swear trying to get the pair of them to do stuff is like wrangling cats!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
I can't believe we are in June already, and already at the 10th, how did that happen? Life just seems to pass faster and faster. I always look forward to Christmas approaching, but I'd like time to slow a little. Before my kids are all too old.
I missed the festive trivia, but it put me in a Christmassy mood.
Fave Panto- Cinderella
Fave treat- hot chocolate with the works
Fave drink - baileys. Only ever drink it at Christmas
Worst food- Christmas pudding
Fave dessert - home made pavlova
I'm hungry now lol. I've been sticking to slimming world this week and last. I've lost 1/2 a stone so far. I've a bit to go, but I've enjoyed everything I've easten this week. I'm back to doing the old green days mostly. I don't eat much meat anyway. So far it's working for me. Just need to get after eights and hot chocolate out my mind now lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
My internet drops out all the time and I just lost a post. Will be much briefer this time round.
Oh dear Chrissy,I hope your daughter is starting to feel the benefits of her tablets now.
We got a prom dress that we both like! Also got underwear and shoes.Just need a bag.She is not into the spray tan/nails/hair /makeup thank goodness. What we have bought already has cost enough.
MIL is back home but not what you could call well.
I got 3lbs of raspberries for £1 today at a market/carboot.6 jars of jam made for gifts.
Am at school tomorrow so will get some elderflowers off the tree in the playground to make cordial and liqueur. My strawberries have masses of fruit so will also make some jam. I feel like I have made a start on the home made hampers. They went down well last year so will do them again with some cash.DD2 will have cash and a few bits to unwrap.
sorry, too tired to repeat all I said before.
Love to all Vx:0 -

Afternoon christmassy people
Hope your DD is better soon ChrissyG
I have been laid up for nearly a week with a horrible virus, no cold or cough or anything like that, just lots and lots of pain and feeling like 17 million buses all drove over me one after the otherI first thought it was because of the whole DWP debarcles but DH woke yesterday and was complaining of the exact same thing. I still am not anywhere near right but can at least use the laptop without feeling like i'm dying. Have not felt like this in such a long time
On the diet front, DH has lost a stone since we started last month, I have lost like 2 poundsi've actually got to the point that i've asked my doctor to check my thyroid as it just doesn't make sense, I don't eat sweets, eat very little food but still the weight wont budge, I know i'm not active due to the health problems, but I did 2 weeks of checking the calories on my food and i'm well within the perameters according to the NHS for intake as an inactive person
Still nothing christmassy, just feel way to poorly right now to do anything, I have to go with my mum to take DD to have her hair cut in half an hour so will struggle through that and then come back to my chair.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Worst food is definitely brussel sprouts - and not just at Christmas either:D It’s a tradition that I make myself eat one sprout with my Christmas dinner but that’s it for the year. Everyone else in the family likes them but not me.
JAKESMUM sorry you’re having such a rough time with this virus, it sounds horrible. Hope you manage ok this afternoon and feel much better soon.
CHRISSY your poor DD is going through it too, hope she’s soon feeling better. Good luck with the forms.
VULPIX result on the prom shopping. I love the casual way you’ve just made six jars of jam, that would rate a post all of its own if I ever managed it. Your home made hampers sound lovely.
Nothing happening on the Christmas front here, I’m finding the garden is holding my interest at the moment. Yesterday I ate my very first home grown strawberry. It was amazing. Unfortunately I’m on holiday next week so I’ll miss any that ripen then. My loss will be my neighbour’s gain although they give us their surplus cooking apples so it’ll be nice to be able to reciprocate. I think I’ll expand my strawberry growing next year if all goes well. I’ve got three little baby berries on one of my blueberry plants too so I’m on a roll at the moment. Someone is giving me some tomato plants when I come back from hols so fingers crossed they prove fruitful (sorry:p). We’ve got good weather again today, long may it continue.
Hope everyone is ok.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
