Hello Chums,I hope poorly people are on the mend now and fed up people feeling better.I know that I get fed up so i always try to have something to work towards, moving, garden, decorating, parties etc.My next thing is Mr V's panto then Chinese New Year.I need to turn my attention to finding a holiday next.

Went to see Spamalot last night.Really enjoyed it; think you have to be a certain age though.

We have snow, but not too much.Unusual for us!

Nic,l would stay where you are if your hearts not in a move.Money isn't everything as long as you and the kids are happy.

    Take care vx

  • What a miserable day!

Hope DD is feeling a bit better 046.

Hope it was good news on boiler GYD.

    Snow will go Nic!

Been busy couple of weeks, still trying to catch up at work but finally getting there.

Home last night, first Friday since about beginning Dec, forgot how much I enjoyed getting a head start on housework, all the washing & ironing done, kitchen & bathroom. Last 2 Fridays have been panto nights, Palladium was fantastic, Wimbledon the worst we have ever been to, it was more like "this is the Al Murray show", very poor script, most of the jokes went straight over the kids heads and considering it was the end of the season, not a lot of natural interaction with the cast. Clive Rowe was the only saving grace. Last years wasn't that brilliant either, but we put that down to it being the first night, but the relationship between Tim Vine & Matthew Kelly showed they had done it together the previous year, just bounced off each other. Oh well, hopefully this year will be better!

Being very organised on Christmas already, got my list of what I have bought, who for and if they can be safely wrapped, are! Have even got the first lot of birthday ready to post, not due for a couple of week, but at least all I need to do is put them in the post now.

Slowly but surely going through the bomb site which developed before Christmas. Had a battle last Saturday assembling my futon, was down to the last pivot pin to be installed when there was an unmerciful crash, as the bookshelf beside me decided to collapse and I was trapped behind futon with books etc piled in front of me. A few choice words were used as I realised at the same time that there was something wrong with the futon assembly:mad: Climbed over the books which are still piled on hall floor & decided that I would attack again on Sunday, as the best bet would be to disassemble the futon. After all of that, discovered there was nothing wrong with the assembly, it was actually that the manufacturer has not drilled through, have to borrow drill from work to finish, but it will look good:D

Well, only sat down for a coffee, so back to the bombsite!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

    Thanks Vulpix x

I also like to keep busy. Ia tulle went to bed at 9:00 the other night because I was bored lol. I do get stressed about things though. My girls are both in a big dance show on Sat. They have a dress rehearsal on Friday then 2 shows on Saturday. I am stressed about forgetting outfits, accesories, hair stuff, will their hair go up easily, will my dad and sister enjoy it or will they be bored?, what snacks do I need. I have made a list and Im still stressed. I was also in charge of making 13 jelly fish costumes. Using those finger led lights, umbrella hats and bubble wrap. They look perfect once the stage lights are down, but I'm worried lights fall off, or don't work on the night.

Oh and it's snowing again! It's been a winter wonderland since Tuesday. Kids even managed to build an igloo! And now there's more. Getting fed up with it. Hopefully it will rain on Monday.

Been a very grey wet day here with very little light. Very miserable. January feels so long!

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

Did anyone venture to the boots sale this weekend? I only ever went one year and hated it :rotfl: I have done very little sales shopping only the wrapping paper and tags. Nothing has caught my eye this time.

I picked up a few bits on Friday and also a photo prop set yesterday. Wouldn't have paid £9 for it but £2.70 was fine for a bit of fun on Xmas day (not for me, it's a family gift for DB, I usually get them something silly) had looked at it at half price before. Didn't see any on Friday so it was either returns stock or I just didn't see it. Less people there than last year it seemed which was nice, though still had one girl sweep literally every bit of maybelline off the shelf (and there was a LOT) while her mum merrily emptied the Charlie body sprays off another shelf

Hope everyone is OK and that those poorlies (inc the littlies) are on the mend and that the meds are taking effect x
Not much to report, apart from a small stash of glass baubles from Home Sense and Wilko bought in the sales nothing else has taken my fancy.
Weather here is wet and miserable which I think has a knock on effect on all of us. The bulbs are poking their heads up tho so spring is definitely on the way, hopefully bringing a bit of sunshine with it to brighten everyone up.
    lovin' this site!

    I am weak

    I could not resist.

Heard a rumour Wilko were clearing out Christmas stock today so went to have a mooch round the local one whilst I was in town. Somehow seem to have ended up with more wrapping paper and tags (one roll and one set of tags is non Christmassy so can be used for the birthdays haha) - was all 10p each. Got some santa gift bags too :rotfl: :rotfl:

Evening everyone, i cant believe i was last on the 30th of December, i have been ill with my colitis again and an infection on top of that. This week i have been getting the washing and housework up to date. So belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, i hope its a good one for you all.

NIC sorry its taken so long to reply, no DS doesn't book our days out because he doesn't want to put extra pressure on me, i still have Tea at The Ritz to do from my birthday!!! The days out are an afternoon tea, a day at the races, visit the village they filmed Downton Abbey in, breakfast in a trendy caf! (forgot the name), i cant even remember the others i have put them so far to the back of my mind :o one of the things DD1 gave me was a Walk with Llamas/Alpacas and my DD2 was a trip to the cinema, they just engulfed me i think and i just panicked! I keep my 6ft led blossom tree up all year round and i have fairy lights on my fireplace all year round, i just cant bear to have no pretty lights to make me smile. Good luck in making your decision on whether to move house or not.

PEPPAPIG haha DS has done another step challenge for me this year and he will save a pound for everyday i hit my target and then i can choose whether i want to spend it or save it. Yes i know Thumper is growing up so fast, he got me singing down the phone on facetime while he played his drums :rotfl:

KERRI yes i will do that, choose the smallest outing first i think

VULPIX i know DS is very thoughtful and i know he is only trying to help me, if he ever picks a trip up your way i will let you know :D

I have been wondering where you were Free,I hope you feel much better now.Same for everyone else under the weather.

January does seem to drag doesn't it,but I have noticed it is staying light a little longer.I think it helps when we are all not bumbling along in grey wet weather. The bulbs in my garden are well away now.

Free, hahahaha at you singing down the phone to DGS playing the drums.I bet you would have never imagined yourself doing that a few years ago.

I am seeing a lad(12) later who has been diagnosed as dyslexic,to help him with his school work.I am so looking forward to it.I miss the Polish children.I don't know if I said the Mum got a boyfriend so is busy elsewhere now.I was like a Grandma to the little girl who was 7.I have never contacted them in case it looks like I am looking for work.Actually writing it down it looks silly,I think I will message her to see how they are.

Our boiler is on the blink,we are waiting for a part so no hot water till it comes. We do have heat thank goodness.

Are you live with the house sale yet 0426?

    Hi all,

rain rain rain today! DD is alot better but still tired and chesty cough so we keeping her off until monday. My health is exactly the same, no change at all. FEDUP.COM
Vuplix, I may PM you for some back advice. House is now live and up on the internet but we have no for sale sign as yet.
Murie- Thank you for your supportive messages xx
stokiebecks- I cannot fault you as I love the 10p sale.
FREE- I am so sorry you have been unwell, DH had a bit of a blip with his stomach and he thinks it may have been peanuts. He also suffers if he drinks too much coffee, he loves it but it does not agree with him. I hope you are feeling much better. Aw bless DGS
Kerrigt-It annoys me when people bulk buy like that, literally swiping shelves into trolleys. They should not be allowed.
GYD- hope its good news about the boiler
Treasure queen- your penguin ornaments sound lovely
LMG1305- you are being very productive, when I find some energy I need to declutter, there is a few things that can go on ebay.
Peppa- I think people say flu for a common cold now but DD has had a full dose of flu, even school keep saying oooh she must be poorly to still be off. I remember being in my teens and having a really bad dose of flu that had me off school for weeks. It was horrible.
nic2075- glad the kids enjoyed the snow, making memories its what it is all about. It did snow here but didnt last long.
