Bought a wooden play pizza set from L!dl for a DN today, not quite like the one I got a friends daughter earlier in the year that went down a storm but the same principle. I try as much as I can to avoid presents that require a billion batteries or plastic tat for kids.

Bought some items in the B00ts sale thinking I was being clever and now I'm not so sure. SIL I mentioned already said about doing a meal out instead of gifts and I've now bumped something that I got for a friend's b'day to her Xmas as I saw something else for her b'day. I'd try and sell a couple of the surplus on FB but I'm worried someone I may gift one to will see them :o

Good Morning my fellow Christmas loving lovelies,

Today is a crisp morning and it has put me right in the mood for some Christmas planning and crafting. I am going to be making some personalised glass chopping boards for family using my silhouette machine. May make some extra and sell them as they are such lovely gifts. I cannot remember if I told you all I ordered some new Christmas decorations and a tree from As*a to match my new d!cor. The decorations arrived today and im hoping my tree will be here today or tomorrow. We are taking the kids to Edinburgh as a surprise in December so will put the tree up the last Saturday in November.(3 weeks tomorrow eek!) We will be doing the Christmas markets in Edinburgh but if anybody has any other suggestions please let me know. So excited.
Peppa- happy belated birthday, hope you had an amazing day xx
Free- sounds like you are getting on well with your Christmas buying. I missed the selection boxes, hoping they do another deal.
Murie-How are you doing? How is your family. Hope all is well xx
Nic2075- thanks for the heads up about t*scos chocolate tubs, going to ask my friend to pick me some up today.
kerrigt-I too avoid glitter wrap and cards, it turns up everywhere for weeks afterwards.
Stockiebecks- The bag is lovely, we missed illuminations again this year due to my mobility but it just reminds me of being a kid and driving through with my parents and brother.

Big Christmas hugs and well wishes for everyone xxx
  • Happy Birthday for yesterday Peppa!

I've had this week off, we went down to London overnight on Tuesday for a concert and came back on Wednesday, had a fab time, but exhausted now.

I really need to step up my Christmas present game too, I have 6 little ones to buy for now, and so far, I've only managed to get gifts for one and a bit children! (I made the mistake of seeing something I thought was good for one child, then waiting to show my husband locally, and of course, they did not stock it locally.)

I'm getting excited about Christmas now, walking through town on Halloween when we got back, I noticed Costa had their festive drink hoarding - love their gingerbread latte.

I find homemade gingerbread really hard to get right esp when I add the kids in to the mix so now I cheat and buy the ikea gingerbread dough. They only need to roll it out and cut whatever shapes they want to make. Its quick and easy plus most of the fun is in the decorating anyway.

Sorry your still having problems with your ear

ds has mentioned he'd like to get a nintendo switch but aside from the fact they are expensive I'm not sure he'll really use it that much?? anyone else have one?

Boots have a yankee candle gift set 1/2 price as one of this weeks star gifts plus bonus points on £50/£60 spend till monday
