Should I appeal this PCN?

Ok, yesterday I parked in a private car park (not Parking Eye managed) while I took my family to the cinema.
I bought a ticket for 3 hours (£3.30) expecting the film to be finished by the time the ticket would expire.
However, the film finished 20 minutes after my ticket had expired.
By the time I got back to the car (25 minutes after the ticket had expired) I had a Parking Charge notice on the car that is asking for £100 reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
Should I pay the £60 or appeal saying that the £100 fine is excessive and does not reflect a genuine pre-estimate of loss?
The parking company is a member of the Independant Parking Committee.
Thanks for any help.

Why the secret over who the parking company is? Not sure what you mean by ‘not Parking Eye managed’.
The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 tells you how to deal with a parking charge - subtle differences between a BPA and IPC operator.Should I pay the £60 or appeal saying that the £100 fine is excessive and does not reflect a genuine pre-estimate of loss?
Have you complained vociferously to the cinema manager? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sounds like ECP with that charge structure.Have you complained vociferously to the cinema manager?
I have an inkling that this is ECP - and the cinema is the Light Cinema.
In my case - the light cinema ignored my attempts to reach out to them.0 -
Everyone is politely asked not to post until after reading the newbies faq thread
If you had done so you would have seen the advice never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your OP to remove details of who was driving
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you.
(And had you read the FAQ you would have seen a comprehensive answer to your question, and gained an understanding of the IPC and the futility of appeals to their members!!)0 -

You can only upload after you clock-up a certain (undisclosed) number of posts.
Other aspects of image posting are fully and repeatedly covered in the appropriate forum.0
