Receiving Pension Credit - What happens at 65?

I have searched the forum and also chatted online to Pensions advisory people.
I have yet to receive a definitive answer to my question which is :-
Since I am already receiving PC (guarantee) for myself and my much younger partner, what happens when I receive state pension at age 65. Will I have to make a new PC claim and a new claim for council tax benefit or will it be automatically adjusted?
My state pension forecast is £159.35 and PC forecast tops it up to £243.25. I don't want to screw things up by putting in a new claim if it is not necessary.
Thanks in advance for any help.

you will have to claim your State pension at 65 and your pension credit will be adjusted accordingly, also if you start to receive any work/private pensions they will have to be declared/claimed for and Pensin Credit would be adjusted accordingly.0

Thanks.
I have already made my pension claim online although I have had no acknowledgement yet.0 -
You notify Pension Credit and your council of any changes in your income and circumstances.
They will adjust PC / CTs payments. No New claims are necessary.
Get & keep confirmation that you told them of this change, in case the process goes awry.

Thanks again for the replies. Sounds like I need to get back on the phone and hang on this time until they answer.0

How do you get pension credit before pension age?
The OP reached the age at which a female with his date of birth could have claimed.

What is Pension Credit?
Pension Credit (PC) is made up of two parts:
Guarantee Credit provides a guaranteed level of income for people over
the qualifying age, which is increasing at the same pace as the State
Pension age for women. The qualifying age is now 63 and 9 months and
will be 64 and 6 months by April 2018.0 -

Plus NI credits, if applicable. Mr S retired at 58 and reached pension credit age at 63 and 3 months. As he isn't working/paying NI he automatically gets 'free' NI credits for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018, even though he doesn't qualify for pension credit/means tested benefits. This will add about £9 per week to his State pension from May 2018.The OP reached the age at which a female with his date of birth could have claimed.

I spoke to the pension helpline and was told that I have to claim my state pension and pension credit, council tax benefit, will be automatically adjusted. I do not have to put in a further claim when I start receiving my state pension.0
