Black gunk

I've occasionally seen what I can only describe as black gunk coming out of the tap in my downstairs loo. I've not seen anything similar coming from any of the other taps. Anyone have any idea what it might be and/or what to do?
Cheers.

Hi,
From a water hygien point of view it doesn’t sound good! Is it the hot or cold tap? What is the pipe feeding the tap constructed from (normally copper pipe). Do you have a cold water storage tank in the loft and or a hot water cylinder?

It’s bacteria and fungi, but fortunately it’s harmless:-

Thanks. There's a small window, I'll look into having a vent installed.0
