My nephew thirty has recently separated from his long term partner and has fallen onto hard times, lost his job and moved in with friends of his who between them earn about 60k. He has claimed UC from their address as a single person, they don't support him can he claim or will it be refused thanks in advance

Depending on his savings he should be able to claim the part of UC that's replaced JSA, as long as he's looking for work. He could also claim the part that's for housing costs to cover what he pays to them as rent/lodgings, up to the shared room rate for his area (assuming it's less than £7.5k it will be tax free for the friends). He'd need something in writing to show his liability for those housing costs, ideally a lodger agreement.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
