New to all this

Hi, a friend of mine has recently had a lot of success in reclaiming PPI. So I've decided to give it a go, the only problem being:
1) I've no idea if I qualify
2) I've had lots of credit cards and loans
3) I've nothing left from them statement or details of accounts.
4) Some where a long time ago, 15 years?

I'm just wondering how to make a start, what do I do next.
I think I have a really good chance of claims for most of the companys apart from the current ones I use.

I've had the following CC's:

Marbles
Egg
Natwest
Virgin
Nationwide
Barclaycard
Halifax
Tesco

And the following loans:

Natwest
Northern Rock (Kent Reliance)
Egg
Cahoot
Peugeot Finance?

Your help will be much appreciated, thanks.

    Have a look at Resolver.

    https://www.resolver.co.uk

It is recommended by Martin Lewis and all you need are the basic details of each card/loan etc. They will do the rest

You’ve got nothing to lose by trying

    Good luck

There is no need to involve any third party (even a "free"one) in a PPI complaint.

I would start by phoning the dedicated PPI helplines provided by most of these lenders, contact info on their websites under complaints.

Some banks can locate records back to 2001, with full names, old addresses, previous names etc, but you could obtain a lot more if you can find the account numbers.
