Council parking ticket

Hi guys,
I need some advice so i received a parking ticket from the council for 'parking in a special enforcement area adjacent to a footway, cycle track' The pictures that the took made it look like my care was complete in front of it, even though it was only i would say around 10cm overlap.
The situation on the day, i could talk all day about it but it is no point as I'm sure they wont take mitigating circumstances. Is there anything i can do to appeal this as i really can't afford the £110.

As we tend to major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work) and post a new thread; here's your link:

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
