    Simply because I've been dazzled by enough cars with faulty headlights to assume that whatever the circuit design is, that the failure of one does affect the voltage of the other.


    I've noticed this and wondered why. I'm sure it's just an apparent increase, though, as Tarambor stated.

    Same here. I used to replace sealed beams all the time, but I can't remember the last time I changed an H4 or H7 bulb, unless it was to upgrade them.


    In other news, I fitted Osram Nightbreakers to my Land Rover yesterday. I had forgotten how good they were. Clear, white light and much better beam distance.
    If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.

    Quite likely that driving around with only one working headlamp indicates a careless or oblivious driver who hasn't noticed the misalignment of the one working ligh or can't be bovvered.
