Hi

Having tried for ages to unsuccessfully log in to my Orange/EE account to chack call charges it now says the page is being updated and I can't log in at the moment so hopefully MSE folk can advise.

Tonight I rang the Royal Mail helpline 03457740740 at 17-40. I was put on hold for 20 minutes then at 18.00 was told the service had closed for the day!!!

Just trying to find out what 20 minutes to that number from my Orange/EE landline cost please?

I will have to ring tomorrow as my daughter sent a signed for parcel on December 13th which has not arrived and just says it is in the RM system when looking at tracking.

I'm hoping it is not 25p per minute or similar. Also surely RM should answer calls in the help queue made before the 18.00 closing time?!

TIA

Vigman

If you have inclusive miutes then the time will be deducted from those.

Many thanks. On the Orange/EE landline I have unlimited calls but I thought the 0345 number would be chargeable

The 03 range of non-geographic numbers was introduced in 2007. Ofcom rules in place since that time ensure that calls to all 03 numbers are inclusive in allowances on landlines and on mobiles on the exact same basis as calls to 01 and 02 numbers. If the caller has exceeded their inclusive allowance or has a call plan without an inclusive allowance, calls to 03 numbers are charged at the same rate as calls to 01 and 02 numbers. From landlines this could be anywhere from 2p to 14p per minute. From mobiles this could be anywhere from 3p to 55p per minute. All of the charges are set by, and retained by, the caller's landline or mobile provider. Revenue sharing is not permitted on 03 numbers.

If you are worried about expensive calls, those are the numbers starting 084, 087, 09 and 118. All of those are now banned for after-sales enquiries and issues.

As of ~2 weeks ago, you need to create a new account to be able to log in (if you are a customer of orange days)
