hi people
had Tmobile contract paid up the 2 years then ported to ee with same number, shortly after this moved address and told EE.
Now checked credit file, default from lowell for mobile provider ex t mobile knew nothing about it had no letters no contact from EE
Have rung EE and they admitted the default was a mistake and they would sort it,but after 4 months and over 17 hours on the phone its still there
lowell have said as soon as EE contact them saying bill was issued in error they will remove it..
But EE have made no contact with lowell so what can i do next????

Hi Jason,
At this stage I would suggest a written formal complaint. Send it recorded delivery to EE and refer to your phone conversations and ask them to listen back to them. Ask them to recall the debt from Lowell and correct your credit file as they have said they would.
If they fail to resolve the complaint to your satisfaction then you can escalate the matter to the telecommunications ombudsman.
I will also briefly mention that only incorrect data can be removed from your credit file. So, if at any stage during this process it comes to light that there was a charge outstanding, the default may be correct and, in that case, would likely remain on your file. However, that doesn't seem to be the case from what you have said.
