Hi, thanks to some brilliant advice on here, i am
now set up as follows -
barclays credit card with 6500 limit
Natwest current account with 1750 overdraft... account is in credit and this is my main account that everything’s comes in and out of
Starling account set up yesterday, which i am going to use to “pay myself” every friday and use it for day to day spending.
now question being, starling have offered a pre approved £1750 overdraft. Now it’s unlikely either overdraft will ever be used - talking purely from a credit rating point of view, would i be better accepting or turning down the starling overdraft? i’m aware that a lower credit utilisation ratio is helpful, so having more credit available to me not being used would be a good thing right? i’m looking at a mortgage in 2 years time so taking steps now to get everything in order. Thanks

Accept it and stay out of it.0

That was my exact plan, i checked google (with limited success) and read something stating that it may be against terms and conditions of banks to have two overdrafts.. i did read in to natwest but couldn’t find anything to that effect?0

An overdraft is simply credit. You can have as much, or as little, as you are offered.0
