Bathroom fan extractor . Leave switch on , or not?

Howdy!
An easy question really . I noticed that if I leave fan running , it switches itself off a few minutes once I’ve turned the bathroom light off. What I normally do, is turn on the switch just before I have a shower ,and turn it off when I finished my business .
Is it best to carry on the same way ?
Thanks

no definitley do not turn it off
the switch your turning off is only there as a maintenance isolator
fans should run anything upto 20 minutes after you using the shower to get rid of the moisture in the room0 -
Wow! Thanks newbie
I’ve only been here just over six months . Will leave it on .:)0 -
Check what sort it is, should be either timer or humidity.
Both are adjustable, if you find you need to increase the overrun.0 -

Thanks for that. I have no idea. The bathroom ( and kitchen) has no window. I bought a dehumidifier 2weeks ago so hopefully all should be well now .0
