Final electricity meter reading dispute
Comments
-
Just reading this thread as I'm having trouble trying to recover the correct amount of credit from my old supplier Avro as they are using an inflated final reading that they seem to have invented! The monetary difference is around £50 which I am not prepared to let go but my new supplier SSE have been useless and misleading when I've approached them to rectify it. 3 months from switching I have just been informed by SSE that they haven't sent a final reading despite me being assured on two separate occasions by two different people that meter readings had been sent. One person even gave me a file number to quote to Avro telling me it had been sent on 11th September. Today SSE tell me no meter reading has been sent so I'm left chasing both companies and I have no faith in anything I'm told. Looks like energy ombudsman which is an absolute joke. Switching is supposed to be simple process but clearly there are a lot of unhappy frustrated switchers like me.0
