How to give rental notice?
Comments
-
Haha sorry but you confused me when you said: The advice given by thelem above is wrong. 23rd, not 24th for the expiry date.
and I don’t want to get this wrong!0 -
Say you were to give notice on the 15th January. The last day in your property would be the 23rd February.
How are you intending to give the notice? If you're posting a letter then make sure you allow time for it to reach your landlord.Note: Unless otherwise stated, my property related posts refer to England & Wales. Please make sure you state if you are discussing Scotland or elsewhere as laws differ.0 -
Ah I understand thank you0

Also remember your sellers will probably be annoyed if you insist upon perfect timing to minimise your costs.
I agreed to minimise my purchasers last time but with no exchange till last minute.
Most people are good. I was prepared to move in with my mother for a bit but it wortked out in the end with an exchange Fri and Complete Mon.
I think they may hacve had an overlap week. It was more my sellers I was worried about, so do consider further down the line!0
