I was sent a beautiful Christmas hamper by special delivery. Full of good things. I was lucky enough to have been given one last year too. So now I have two empty wicker hampers in the cupboard upstairs! Any ideas for what to do with them? Charity shop??

you could use them and gift them to others, offer them to a charity etc

Years ago I had a gift hamper of toiletries and the basket became my home office I kept my small laptop, charger, a ream of paper, stapler, hole punch and other bits and Bob's in it under the coffee table when not in use. Unfortunately after about 10 years the basket began to degrade, but served its purpose untill then.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. I too have been lucky enough, in the past, to receive a few of these. 3 have been used around the house for storage, as they look very nice. Some smaller ones have been re-used for gifts, or to hold raffle prizes (looks classy!).
I think a charity shop would be delighted to have them.0 -
I have a large one artfully planted up in the wonderland bed ( whimsical planting around some Camellia sinensis tea plants) I don't expect it to last to long but did paint with some wood preserve and It will do untill we move or I change my mind with the bedding plants.0

Personally, I'd save them to re-use when I did somebody a hamper (although I did find one that I've had for years when I was getting the Christmas decorations out of the loft
) but if you want them gone, I'm sure a charity shop would be happy to take them off your hands.

Thank you all. I like the idea of a cat bed best!
After looking at both hampers for a long time, I thought I would not in fact use them myself. I would just put them in the spare room wardrobe and rediscover them next Christmas. So instead this fate, I took them to the charity shop this morning. They were delighted to have them and I was glad I had passed them on.0
