Cineworld hot drinks shrinking by a third!

If your local Cineworld gets refurbished, beware when buying hot drinks!

Most Cineworlds sell Coffee Republic branded hot drinks, and a regular drink is 12 oz, large 16 oz at a not unreasonable price. I went to the Cineworld at the O2 last night which is undergoing refurbishment. As part of this the Coffee Republic coffee and Twinings tea has been swapped out for Lavazza and Clipper. So, I ordered my large drink as usual and when it was handed over I thought I'd been given a regular by mistake; nope, turns out that this IS the large. The guy serving me showed me the regular which is now comically small and would probably fall straight through the cupholders! They're now selling 8 oz as regular and 12 oz as large. And you won't be surprised to hear that the price hasn't gone down, either. Grr!

Presumably they blame Brexit if they get called out on it.

Hopefully this will also decrease the number of people who get up to go for a pee during the film by a third.

This seems pretty standard. People don't like price rises so the price stays the same and they reduce the size of the product.

Cineworld aren't scared to put prices up. Recently the price of a combo deal (drink plus popcorn, hot dog or nachos) in London went up to an obscene £8!

£2 if you go to Poundland first.
