Nationwide Flexdirect account past its 5% interest period question

Hi I have a question about an old flexdirect account I have which paid 5% for 12 months, I've had this account for a while now and came across some old posts on here where somebody had wrote that they were able to call up nationwide and downgrade then upgrade the account all in the same phone call and they were able to get another 12 months at 5%.
I think that post was from last year though so I wondered if anybody could give some info on this or some advice on any way to handle this account, I'm sure it's been more than a year since the 5% period ended.
Thanks

Thanks - I took a look, it seems confusing since the new restrictions are happening in Jan 2018, some people seem to have managed to downgrade and upgrade their account while most haven't.
I'll give NW a call and see what they say.
