Euro Car Parks PCN

I have received a letter from Euro Car parks (Approved BPA operator) for parking in a Sainsbury's (Milton Keynes) carpark operated by cameras. I overstayed the given three hours by 33 minutes. The letter says the amount due £70 will be reduced down to £40 if i pay within 14 days.

There was a clear sign as you enter the car park however it had passed my mind and not realized.

Should I just pay the £40?

No of course you shouldn't pay.

First, edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper who are two different people.

Next, read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES and send the BPA appeal template in blue.

Also, complain to the store manager and demand they cancel this unregulated scam charge otherwise you will shop else where. Show receipts or redacted bank/CC statements if you have them to show that you, The Keeper, are a regular shopper who is about to become an ex customer if this is the way that sainsbugs treats its customers.

Should I just pay the £40?

Why would anyone even think of doing that? i know numpties do, but why?!
