Unexpected Solicitor Bill - Naive me?

  • Fees are crazy but they should have told you fees before hand.

Be aware that you probably are being charged for every single email and message and phone call. Even a message saying thank you is £25! I got charged for questioning bill too ( the one saying thanks!)

Always keep it short be careful. A friends solicitor asked my friend if she wanted to meet her before walking into court, she thought ‘how sweet’ until she got the bill for her meeting her.

The one I have now is not like that thankfully, although still very expensive but honest and genuine. I’d shop around or time every meeting ...and never say thank you :p

Not the proper procedure, solicitors are supposed to deal with billing inquiries and complaints for free.

I think I was being taken for a bit of a ride with that one looking back. The one that I have now is honest . She charged me for saying that the email just saying thank you was chargeable so I was wrong so I got charged for questioning it .
