Best way to cancel Union membership?

Hi all I am a member of Unite, but want to leave. Since our union rep got hounded out of the workplace there is really no benefit to being a paid member. Would it be possible to just cancel my direct debit through my online banking? There seems to be no option to cancel online, I have sent emails to my regional office, but…

I suspect you're choosing not to see the comparison.

If a car is SORN, there's no legal obligation to have motor insurance, if it was stolen or damaged by vandals insurance would be handy. Same with a mortgage paid property or rented accommodation.
