Some advice please.

Bought 2 pair identical shoes early December

Worn once turned out to be very painful across the top of the foot.

Returned to tesco without receipt, they refunded the unused pair but refused the used pair saying... unbelievably ...."they are not leather you should have known they would be no good" and "as they have been worn we can not refund them"

My argument was they are not fit for purpose, they did not listen.

That was 8 or 10 days ago, I was going to go back but did not get around to it yet.

I will loook for receipt but they have clubcard sales records and my bank statement will show a higher than normal payment to tesco on that day.

Thanks

  • They should be able to get you a copy of your actual receipt, if you supply them with a wee bit info.
If you're in store, ask them to do that. Failing that, something via Facebook or Twitter would probably do the trick.

Advice. Sell them on eBay or similar. You're not entitled to a refund because there's nothing wrong with them apart from the fact that you don't find them comfortable and they can't resell them as they've been worn.
  • All shoes will hurt someone, so is the nature of shoes/ feet. That doesn't make the shoes faulty, it means we all have different feet.

You have no right to a refund. Cut your losses and give them to a charity shop.

Whilst its is not good customer service to say that, they are right.

Cheap supermarket shoes are just that, cheap shoes that are never going to be the most comfortable.

As you are going to have to keep them anyway could you try stretching them to make them more comfortable.
