How much to install cavity wall ties

We apparently have a 'bulge' in the outside side wall of our older typical three bed end of terrace, although I can't see anything there. It is under the gable. It is possible that it needs replacement of cavity wall ties. How much would it cost to just do that outside wall. It is not a big house. Would the back and front walls need to be done as well. We are on the south coast so I appreciate costs may vary up and down the country. This is not an area I know about so I would like to know others' experiences before I get other builders in to quote. The builder who told me said it would cost about £7000 to scaffold and rebuild the gable and install new wall ties. (I have an identical post in the house buying and selling section but was directed here.)
