The gas shutoff valve is in a cupboard next to the gas hob. Can it be moved 1 cupboard over to under the sink? Are there any regulations etc covering this?
Thanks
Thanks

You can move it where ever you like as long as it’s accessible and close to the gas appliance it will be fine.0

Cheers!
There seem to be so many rules these days.0 -
If it's the main gas valve for the property (the Emergency Control Valve) it probably has to be immediately where the gas pipe enters the property, so you might need to get your external gas supply and meter moved too.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

This will be the shut off for the hob only, it should be sited as close to the hob as possible.Mr_Singleton wrote: »The gas shutoff valve is in a cupboard next to the gas hob. Can it be moved 1 cupboard over to under the sink? Are there any regulations etc covering this?

The main shut off at the meter can't be moved as it's not a valve that can be touched by anyone except the gas carrier.0
