1 has a thermostat on it to control the temperature, the other doesnt, and looks like it never has. My qestion, wil lit have some sort of auto shut off to prevent it just getting hotter and hotter?

Its an Alto AL5332 model if that helps

  • They're very low wattage heaters and may get hot to touch, but will lose heat to the atmosphere (like any other heater) rather than self-combusting.

I wouldn't expect them to keep you warm though it might stop a toilet from freezing.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • A previous house we lived in had them in the fitted wardrobes. I can't imagine they will keep you warm.
