Different Cooker knackered arrived to what we bought

Bought a cooker on ebay from a 100 % seller.
Advertised as excellent condition. Immaculate. Looked great on the photos.
In the advert they say delivery available. Got quote, I paid them and they arranged it.
What arrived was a totally different cooker ! It was badly damaged,. filthy, did not work and the patterns on the inside of the cooker and out did not match the one advertised.
Seller admits the cooker we have received is not the one he sent us and is blaming the courier company for stealing it or swapping it ??!!.
Trying to get them to take it back and refund us. But they are refusing .
From what I understand, if the item is not the one bought or significantly not as described., it is the sellers responsibility to arrange the return back to them.
Am I correct ?
Yes., dispute opened.

Yes, open a not as described case and they'll have to pay / arrange to get it back. Is it the same model number as the one you purchased?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Do not close the dispute, even if they say they can't refund with it open. On day 8, if you have no resolution, come back here.0

It's the same model, but not the same one shown and they have admitted the one I have received and sent them pictures of, is not the one they sold me.0 -
It's the seller's problem. If they allege the courier has swapped it in transit (not very likely, I know), co-operate with them, just in case they are telling the truth...0

Well that's the thing, if it's the exact or similar model number / make, it's more likely there were two on board the lorry from the same supplier and they dropped the wrong ones to the wrong customers. This actually happened to me with a brand new fridge freezer. As opposed to the courier pulling a fast one with some random old cooker.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. According to the delivery company there were no other range cookers over the past month being delivered ?ballisticbrian wrote: »Well that's the thing, if it's the exact or similar model number / make, it's more likely there were two on board the lorry from the same supplier and they dropped the wrong ones to the wrong customers. It is of no consequence and has nothing to do with your case.0
