Brighton reunion after 30 years

Some friends are planning a re-union in Brighton where we used to live in the 70's.
3 of us are travelling from Sheffield on the 1st December and returning on the 3rd.
Does anyone know what would be the cheapest type of train ticket to buy?
I can't remember the name of the one where groups of 3 or more get a discount but think it's called 4site or something similiar.
We are also looking for a nice B&B somewhere central to the seafront.
Have any of you stayed in a place you could recommend?

You may be best doing split ticketing.
Midland mainline to St Pancras, then the Victoria tube line to Victoria then Southern from Victoria.
If you want to avoid the tube, get the first capital connect train from Kings Cross Thameslink to Brighton.
