How to get copies of Probate documents?

I am a residual beneficiary and I believe that an Executor has given an untrue figure to Q2 on the HM Revenue and Customs Return of Estate Information form which asks about gifts as part of a grant of Probate. The Executor will not voluntarily give me a copy of the forms. Is there anyway I can get a copy? I checked the Probate office online but they only provide copies of the Will.

Daft question but how do you know if you haven't seen the forms?

You can download a copy of the will and grant of probate for £10 here: https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills
This provides the total amount of the estate.

Simple speculation is not good enough reason to challenge an executor, you'll need very good evidence. There is also a legal process to go through which can run into thousands. Will it be worthwhile?

What form is question 2 on and do you think the incorrect figure is too high or too low?
How does an incorrect figure affect you?

I think that as you are a residual beneficiary, you should be able to ask for the estate accounts and this may help explain what the executor has done.
