Worrying historic ownership

    No, but sounds a good idea - will put that to them.

    So if we decide to proceed (which seems likely) how do we get a really really thorough survey? We don't want the one we had when we purchased our current home - one that was called a full survey cost £500 & involved the surveyor glancing around the property, sticking his head through the loft hatch & not much more. As the property is older than we've owned before, is it possible to get a full structural survey & one with a camera down drains etc? The surveyor we had here says he doesn't do things like that. Who do we approach?

    A RICS surveyor.

    They’re not going to do a drain survey for you though, that’s the likes of Dynorod and equivalent smaller companies.
    Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
